Island Retreat Offseason Fun 1-2-3 Discount:

Our family of 6 (4 sons – 15, 12, 8, & 6) and 2 dogs had a nice relaxing week. The property is quiet and perfect for exploring. Kids found frogs, crawfish, and went fishing right out front. The house layout is perfect for a family. Amazing views, especially if you bring a boat or kayaks. Great quiet roads for morning or evening walks with the dogs. Neighbors all around the bay are super friendly. Do bring water shoes and either a truck or ATV for fossil ledges. Big Shoal beach is sandy and beautiful. Glen cove is remote for a day swimming. We plan to return.

The west-facing location at the water’s edge was stunning, and there wasn’t a single day that we didn’t have at least a beautiful sunset, and often a spectacular one. The area around Strickland Point is full of natural beauty, and wildlife. We had deer almost every day, and Sandhill cranes, loons, ducks, geese, and more. The waterfront is perfect for canoeing and kayaking, and the islands nearby are perfect half day jaunts. We did the walk through the butterfly nursery every day, and it was aptly named. We met a number of neighbors during our walks and all were friendly and helpful. Rick’s log cabin is classic rustic, complete with a moose head on the wall. Indeed, there is a moose theme in the house. Our children counted 116 moose images, stenciled on walls, decorating bedspreads and sheets, etc. And we probably missed some. The windows looking out on the water are huge, and the outdoor spaces are perfect for casual dining, reading a book, etc. Overall, all six of us loved it.

It was a beautiful location. Stunning home. Loved our time on the island.

Cozy log home with terrific views of the water through floor to ceiling windows. Very convenient location to the ferry and the town center. Caught several large bass right in front of the house. The whole family enjoyed our stay there.

Rick was very easy to communicate with. The cabin is absolutely gorgeous. The view is stunning and so peaceful. The cabin is cozy and comfortable.

Rick was very responsive and friendly . The house was very private,great location and easy to get to. Would recommend staying there. We will definitely rent again, if we come to the island in need of a quiet peaceful place to relax.
